Secretarial matters

The public inquiry will no doubt have amassed a great deal of items such as furnishings, IT equipment and stationery. The inquiry team will need to make provision for their return to the sponsoring department or disposal by other means.

Inquiry team staff, anticipating the end of their employment, will be seeking other jobs and may have to give notice to the inquiry. Staff contracts may need to be negotiated accordingly to ensure that sufficient staff members are available to complete the archiving processes and démontage of the premises.
